nobel post prize

not to toot my own horn or anything, but is there some kind of award for keeping the most promises to the most people who probably don't even remember you made them a promise?

i've been on the hunt for decent chilean postcards to send people, and it's been an arduous plight. this country is a barren wasteland of muck postcards that are either totally insipid or pathetically photoshopped to death. sometimes that can be funny, so i've sent those, sometimes it can be sad, so i've sent those, on occasion, i've found postcards with naked indigenes on them, i've definitely sent those.

three weekends past, i lucked out in valparaíso and found a grip of postcards worth sending. i bought a silly amount and some nights ago, worked away for multiple hours making them even more worth a damn. i call this process seanacizing. im talking some of these sonsabitches are written in spanish, some in rhyme, some with pictures, some with various frames, haikus, choice quotes, i pretty much go all out. my family here looks at me like i'm a crazy person. i tire myself mentally. i really hope they make it to their destinations.

so what i'm trying to say is i have friends down here who could give a damn about anyone back home. i've got others who bought postcards in the first week and still haven't written a thing on 'em. what i'm trying to say people is that i love you. i don't think i deserve a purple heart or anything, maybe just a nobel post prize. write the nobel society in sweden and tell them you've got a friend in chile who slaves over your postcards. tell the world, for my hands are weary.
