so my brother is a nine inch nails fanatic of sorts. i don't know if you heard. generally, his infatuation is loathed and unsupported within the rameswaram compound, but with the slip being something to write home about i... did just that. i wrote something along these lines:
"nimbo, next time nin's in town, we're going"
i was of course talking about los angeles, but some nanoseconds later he had sent me an email regarding nine inch nails being in town, my town, santiago de chile. so, through the power of credit (i assume), i'll be seeing nimesh soon enough. as the picture would suggest, he'll be around on october 4th, 2008. i had been waiting for the concert posters to appear under my favorite bridge where i await buses and try to avoid being robbed, and the other day, after not catching a bus and being robbed, it appeared like the burning bush. for all those watching at home, i no longer have a cell phone, but i'll soon have a brother again! w00t!
in other news, this picture here perfectly encapsulates just how random this chile spot really is. via reuters:
Waiters carrying trays participate in an annual race during Concon City's anniversary celebrations, about 120 km (75 miles) northwest of Santiago August 18, 2008. Race participants had to run one kilometer without dropping the tray of a two glasses and a bottle of wine.
i'll miss it. maybe?
4 de octubre!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of the NIN logo as some sort of worldwide recognizable symbol. And not just the power of credit credit, four different bank loans will be paying for this trip. Ok, not really. (Ok, really.)
WorldTeach: Pichilemu made me miss the Concon waiter race?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteBrutal. I'm never talking about feelings again.
