panqueques rellenos

the food isn't as bad as they prepared us to believe. mind you, i dont yet live with a family that will largely be responsible for feeding me (apparently, the same thing over and over). regardless, there's tons of choice where we are, mostly unhealthy, but also mostly delicious. it's incredibly hard to avoid eating hot dogs (completos) and pizza (pizza) all the time. you try to eat at least one decent, balanced meal a day. sometimes, you stumble upon something incredible.

these are panqueques rellenos. they made me happier than a bucket of money falling on my foot could have. basically, it was some exquisite tuna wrapped in a very thin pancake. not to mention - they served some vegetables with it. mmmmvegetablesmmmm. they also served their water in a milkshake glass with a straw and there was an adjoined bookstore. never underestimate the capabilities of a cafe in chile i guess.

ah yes, and of course, radiohead was playing. i love me some radiohead with my tuna pancakes.
